Yesterday we had the sentencing at 1:30pm where the judge imposed the sentence of 65 years to the defendent. We are all content with that decision. Uncle Budge, Lou Ann and I each spoke at that hearing. I cried all the way through mine, but I made it.
We also had the dedication to the memorial for Granddad at the park last night. It was amazing to have SOOO many people come! We had well over 100 people there. Ashley video taped it and that will be up on the site as soon as she is finished doing her editing magic.
As for us, the family, we want to thank everyone who has thought of us, prayed for us, been with us through all of this. Without you, we would be hurting so much more than we are. It is so important to have friends and family around who are not afraid to ask how we are doing, if we need to talk, anything at all. I know it is hard and awkward sometimes when you don’t know what to say, but it’s even more awkward to not say anything at all and try to ignore it. Thank you so much for everything.
