Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on with the memorial. I have the plaque and bench ordered, and I am waiting for the Parks Dept. to let me know the cost of the bench so I can pay for that. I think I am about $85 short on that.
My plan is to hopefully have everything in place for a dedication on Monday Aug. 3. We would like to do it at 6pm so those who work during the day wont miss it. All this of course will depend on whether the plaque comes in in time and I can get it in the ground before that evening. We will be in court for the sentencing at 1:30 on Monday, so it will have to get done right after that. I am not so concerned about the bench being there for that though. I will update as soon as I know more.
