The tree in Granddad's front yard. My inspiration for the memorial.

I went today to design the plaque and will have the total cost on Friday. It should come in in time for the end of the trial in August so we can do the dedication. I also met with the parks department and decided where to plant it at Mary Gibbard, so I am all set for the planting on Tuesday morning. I will have someone there to take pictures and do a video so anyone that wants to watch the “highlights” can check that out about the middle of the week.

Money-wise, I am very close to having all that I need for it, if I get a little extra I would LOVE to be able to pay for a park bench to put next to it so as the tree grows there will be a nice shaded spot to sit under. But we will see what happens when I get the total for the plaque and pay for the website.
