The tree and plaque updates

I went to Twin Silo’s Nursery in New Carlisle today– what a COOL nursery! I had my choice of a few trees and picked a nice one that is already starting to round out to become a big beautiful maple tree. Don Davis, the owner of the nursery (very generous and also a really great guy to just stand and talk to!) is waiting for my call after I talk to Rick at the Parks Department in Mishawaka (were playing phone tag at the moment…) to verify the planting for next Tuesday.

I also talked to Rick Hahn at Hahn’s in Mishawaka and I will be meeting him at 2pm on Wednesday to design the plaque. I am VERY close to having all of the money for the plaque, and will have to pay for that on Wednesday. Then it’s just waiting for it to be completed so I can pick it up.

Thank you to every single person who has helped me out, including those people who just get to keep hearing about it from me constantly. It is getting so close to having it complete, I can’t believe that it came together so well and so fast.
